Now I'm completely confused :) Sorry - I got muddled because there were two different problems being discussed on the same thread. If you're not running linux ignore all the /mnt stuff, you're using drive letters. If you're using iTunes playlists, they should just work, you shouldn't have to do any editing of them. From your original post you said you were using them with "another application which doesn't understand drive letters" - which one?
