I kind of remember being able to set a umask in samba.cnf to specify the permission files are to be created with. Or the file name has spaces and you need to either quote the name rm "track1 blah song thingy.flac" or escape the spaces rm track1\ blah\ song\ thingy.flac I usually use the "tab completion" to fill the name for me. It's probably on on your server see if typing: rm trac<tab> <tab> meaning press the tab key complete the file name for you.
