So far I have been testing my slimserver's with Softsqeezes.
I finally got my first Sqeezebox 3 yesterday, set it up and it works
right out of the box witout problems.
After a few hours of testing, I am very happy with it.

And the Slimserver version 6.2.1 2005-11-13 on that old Linux box with
Ubuntu 5.20 seems to have adequate performance for this one player.
I'll probably order more of those SB3's soon (after more serious and
lenghty testing), so I probably need to tweak the performance of the
server up a little.

By the way, I had Apache and Python running on my Ubuntu
installation.Taking those services down helped a lot on Slimserver
performance. There's definetly not enough horsepower on that box to run
any other service than Slimserver.
