I am having a similar problem. MP3 files play wiithout problem but AAC (.m4a) files fail with "Can't open file for:" on the display and "ERROR: Couldn't open song." in slimserver.log.
With d_source (debugging) set I also see: openSong on: .... openSong: getting duration , size , endian and offset 0 for ... openSong: not bothering opening file with zero size or duration The file URL (replaced by ..., here) looks correct. I am using slimserver 6.2.1 on Linux. The files and directory tree are accessible for the slimserver user. I can view the information for the song, it knows the file type, file size, title, album and artist but nothing else. These files worked with slimserver verison 6.0.2 so I'm reasonably sure the files are intact, not corrupt and playable. I am using the same configuration for converting aac (mov) files to MP3 using faad and lame as I had for slimserver 6.0.2. I cannot tell if there's a problem reading the file, extracting the tag or other song information, running the fadd or lame converters, or what? Are there any other traces I could enable to try and find the trouble? -- floydm ------------------------------------------------------------------------ floydm's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=75 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=19291 _______________________________________________ unix mailing list [email protected] http://lists.slimdevices.com/lists/listinfo/unix
