Hello- I'm using Slimserver 6.2.2 on Gentoo Linux, and never experienced a problem with mp3 files. I have recently started the process of re-ripping my music to flac files. I ripped 16 albums using grip with the following flac command line options: -V -o %m %w --replay-gain --tag=TITLE=%n --tag=ALBUM=%d --tag=ARTIST=%a --tag=YEAR=%y --tag=GENRE=%G --tag=TRACKNUMBER=%t
So far all is well and good, I tried listening to the files with xmms and experienced no problems. Unfortunately the same cannot be said when I try to listen to the flac files with my Squeezebox 1. On a number of albums, when I play using either "Browse by Music Folder" or "Browse by Album", etc. The first song will play just fine, but instead of going to the next track the squeezebox seems to get stuck at the end of the current track. If I press the forward button on the remote control, the squeezebox goes to the next song and plays it just fine but then will typically run into the same problem with that track. This issue will arise with every track on an album or not at all. Another problem I've run into is that some flac files output no sound when played through the squeezebox, even though other songs on the same album play just fine. This is really quite puzzling to me as the flac files appear to be fine. Any help would be greatly appreciated as I'm eager to move to entirely FLAC based music library.
