Thats correct, slimserver is transcoding from flac to wav. It appears to be using the flac binary that was delivered with slimserver in /usr/local/slimserver/Bin/i386-linux/flac
# /usr/local/slimserver/Bin/i386-linux/flac -v flac 1.1.1 The flac binary that i use to encode the flac files is in /usr/bin/flac and is version 1.1.2. I did try replacing the slimserver delivered flac binary with 1.1.2 but that still encountered the same problems.
