I have the same problem. The packet size in binary-amd64/Packages.gz is
supposed to be 9677204 but the real packet size is 9689254 (the
Packages.gz file for i386 has the correct size).

Could the AMD64 Packages.gz file be updated ?

I get the same error for the i386 version

Give it a go again? I just updated Packages.gz

I havent been able to update the last few days. The error message today is:

W: Failed to fetch http://debian.slimdevices.com/dists/stable/main/binary-all/slimserver_6.5b1_all.deb
   416 Requested Range Not Satisfiable

Using Ubuntu Breezy.

Have been able to update previously until ?the last week. It was previously saying something about a size mis-match.

just tried:

wget http://debian.slimdevices.com/dists/stable/main/binary-all/slimserver_6.5b1_all.deb

and that worked. Still wont update via apt-get despite removing and adding the slimserver repos

Any ideas? Is ti ok to install the .deb manually?

Solved!

Turns out apt-get had a incomplete/dodgy copy of the slimserver deb in /var/cache/apt/archives/partial/ and was trying request the remaining part of it; hence the error. Solved by deleting it.

Now working well!!
