I have a question about this install on Ubuntu (thanks for the tip on
the Perl BTW). I just did a fresh Ubuntu install, and the first thing
I put on it was slimserver.
The apt-get command creates a 'slimserver' user, but that's not the
user that the slimserver gets executed by according to "ps -ef"

108 5058 1 0 00:01 ? 00:00:00 /bin/sh
/usr/sbin/slimserver_safe /usr/sbin/slimserver --prefsfile
/etc/slimserver/slimserver.pref --logfile
/var/log/slimserver/slimserver.log --cachedir /var/cache/slimserver

108 5322 5058 3 00:04 ? 00:00:06 /usr/bin/perl -w
/usr/sbin/slimserver --prefsfile /etc/slimserver/slimserver.pref
--logfile /var/log/slimserver/slimserver.log --cachedir
/var/cache/slimserver

Can someone tell me how to make this so that it gets executed by
'slimserver' instead of '108'? I'm not a linux power user either, but
I sort of know what I'm doing. it's the low level stuff that throws
me.

Regards,
Brad
