The Squeezebox will actually log into my XM account and I can browse the list of stations, but the problem is when I try to actually play a station. It says ERROR can't open remote URL. The URL is xmradio://station48.xro That also leads me to believe that the problem is when it is actually trying to play the link.
I haven't been around Linux enough yet to know all there is to know (and maybe never will be), but it seems it is a problem when it's trying to play the station. As a test I did the following: I went to XM Radio online with my brothers Linux machine using Firefox, logged into my account and it pulled up gxine to play the station. It played and I could hear music. I tried to do that same thing on the computer my slimserver is running on and it just crashed Firefox. As a shot in the dark I installed gxine, but still can't get it to play XM radio online. Maybe this is where the actual problem lies. If I can't get the computer to actually play I don't think the squeezebox connected to that computer is going to be able to play it. Am I way off in left field here? I'll search a little deeper but didn't find any posts just now about using the XM plugin on Linux Slimservers. -- benjaminbarch ------------------------------------------------------------------------ benjaminbarch's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=5307 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=23539 _______________________________________________ unix mailing list [email protected] http://lists.slimdevices.com/lists/listinfo/unix
