Despite being so vague, that was probably the most helpful thing I've heard all week. Thanks. So I ran /usr/local/slimserver/Bin/build-perl-modules.pl, which seemed to work without a hitch, and then I ran "./slimserver.pl --daemon". After that I was able to connect through firefox to http://zenserver:9000/. Um...is that it? Do I just need to make a script to run the daemon on startup? Sorry to turn a potentially difficult problem into a newbie question, but is slimserver always run through your web browser? Also, how should I go about updating slimserver? Really, thanks for helping me with this. I was pretty lost for a moment when all I had was an rpm and a tarball. -- nonerz ------------------------------------------------------------------------ nonerz's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=5601 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=24079 _______________________________________________ unix mailing list [email protected] http://lists.slimdevices.com/lists/listinfo/unix
