Err.. you know, for the years that I've been using Slackware I should
know that! As it is, I'm primarily a desktop linux user.  As for my
headless fileserver I typically drop in and start things manually. Me
thinks you'll want to add an entry to "/etc/rc.d/". I would just google
"slackware service on start" or some combo.

For Gentoo I know everything is under /etc/init.d/ and you type
"rc-update add blah" for startup stuff.

There's also a utility called "webmin" that works with slackware. Try
that too.
