I have been using Squeezebox v3 in combination with Slimserver for some
time now, but I decided I wanted to stay up-to-date. So, I removed the
rpm-package and installed svn on my ClarkConnect 3.2-box. I also had to
install some mysql-dev and mysql-client packages. So far so good.
I'm a little bit of a newbie using linux (I only use two
ClarkConnect-boxes, one as a gateway and one as a fileserver, which is
working absolutely great). Maybe I'm overlooking some very basic
things, if so, please tell me :-)
I've created the user slim in the group slimserver.
I've made a /var/run/slimserver directory, owned by that user.
I've got the latest revision of the slimserver-software in
/usr/local/slimserver, also owned by the same user.
I've built missing pearl modules with Bin/build-perl-modules.pl (all
completed O.K.)
But when I try to start slimserver with *./slimserver.pl --daemon
--d_server*, all I get for output is:
