Basically the problem lies with mplayer and the URL notation - the %
notation in a file:// name as it is processed by the filesystems.   

What I don't understand is how this got passed to mplayer. Since this
is a file - it shouldn't have a file:// prefix.  

How did you request to play the WMA file ?
