I seem to have this same problem also. I am running debian and the installation is from the deb package intalled wth apt-get.
SlimServer Version: 6.5b1 - 8414 - Debian - EN - iso-8859-1 After a rescan the playlists disappeared. I was able to go into the playlists directory and touch all the files. > touch * Then I did a rescan and the playlists are back.
