the rpm query did list slimserver, but it's still not running
properly.
When i run the .pl, I get an error message which includes the text:
audit denied {execmod} for pid 2019 comm="slimserver.pl"
name="Expat.so"
It then goes on to tell me to configure that data source, etc, & then
the machine hangs.
I' going to try a few of the other sggestions, & then I'll report back
further.
