Hi Dan & Co I've just built a new Shuttle PC with a Sempron 64 processor. Just installed the 64-bit Ubuntu and am ready to install Slimserver using Slimdevices apt repository. Here's what I'm doing, and the error I see:
* I've installed a clean Ubuntu 64-bit desktop environment. * I've fully-patched using the on-line update. * I've enabled all Ubuntu repositories in Synaptic Package Manager, and have also added Slimdevices as follows "deb http://debian.slimdevices.com stable main" * I next refresh the repositories in Synaptic. * Next, I search for package slimserver, which Synaptic finds. * I select mark for installation, which pops-up a new window stating the required dependencies. I click 'Mark' to select them all, which is when the error appears: "Could not mark all packages for installation or upgrade. Slimserver depends: libyaml-syck-perl but it is not going to be installed" I have repeated all of this using the 32-bit Ubuntu and Slimserver installs fine. It seems the package libyaml-syck-perl is not available for the 64-bit installation. Question is (of course), how can this be resolved? Thanks Nick. -- slimnick ------------------------------------------------------------------------ slimnick's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=2333 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=27763 _______________________________________________ unix mailing list [email protected] http://lists.slimdevices.com/lists/listinfo/unix
