Well, since you already bought the Windoz box, do you want to tell us more about it and the stuttering, and maybe we can clean up some of your problems.
Let's start with ... what's in the case? What version of windoz are you running? what else, if anything, runs on the box? how is it cabled to your switch? what version of Slimserver are you running? How do you connect to your SB(s)? Wired or wireless? How many do you have?
