Check permission on all SlimServer related files. Starting with 6.5 you  
can't run SlimServer as root any more. If there's one file  
(/etc/slimserver.*, /tmp/slimserver.*, ...) or folder which is not  
writable for the slimserver user, it won't start. OTOH, you're _not_  
allowed to chmod 777 my.tt/my.cnf, otherwise MySQL will not start... So be  
sure your settings are set properly.
