I've taken the plunge. Weened on Windows and looking at Linux distros. I've installed Suse 10.2 on my machine as dual boot w/WXP. (Grub is working as expected) Plenty of processing/memory/disk.
ok...install was uneventfull - all seems to be working correctly with no failures observed on verbose boot. So I installed the latest Slimserver 6.5.2 as root with no apparent errors. I created the start-script according to Aubrey's wiki. Cannot get the service to start. In Yast...the change of run-level will not stick. Yast returns an unknown error (126) when I attempt to manually start the service.
