Thanks very much Ben. I had high hopes but the FLAC version is even older than the official Debian version. RareWares version 1.1.2-5, Debian version 1.1.2-6.
I've been having problems with Synaptic this morning though, but it appears to be limited to official Ubuntu packages. The update connection is timing out.
