Be prepared for the stupidest question you ever encountered. It's so
stupid that I have to ask it because all Internet resources assume you
know how to do this, so if you don't know how, you can't find out
because it's so basic!
Trying to execute flac2mp3.pl. flac2mp3.pl is in the directory I'm
trying this from.
Code:
--------------------
[EMAIL PROTECTED]:~/Desktop/flac2mp3-0.2.7$ flac2mp3.pl /home/music/"Other
Music"/Check/flac/k-os/"Atlantis: Hymns for Disco"/ /home/music/"Other
Music"/"Small Check"
bash: flac2mp3.pl: command not found
[EMAIL PROTECTED]:~/Desktop/flac2mp3-0.2.7$
--------------------
Now, how is that possible? Normally by typing the program name on the
command line it will just execute it? I assume I need to do something
special to get bash to execute a command, but what? I have a sneaking
suspicion it's a special character - I've tried "./", "#" and ">"
without success.
For nearly every other program like FLAC and LAME, you just type it
from the prompt. But not flac2mp3.pl? I tried chmod +x to make the
directory executable as well as chmod 777, no change.
Sorry this question is so dumb but this is one of those simple things
that should come naturally but doesn't!
