Good one, I never thought of that.  I don't use a thumb drive so it's
never come up for me.

BTW Ubuntu 7.04 has problems with removable media in that you can't
remove it - it thinks it's like a CD and will only allow you to "eject"
it from the desktop, which won't work for a removable drive.  To avoid
the risk of filesystem errors, it should be unmounted using "sudo
umount" and the drive /dev/hdX or dev/sdX path.
