Have SS 6.5.1 on Ubuntu edgy. It's working fine, except I can't get it to play .m4a files on the SB3. The files play fine locally on the unix box (both through totem or mplayer/faad). Faad is installed and works fine with the .m4a files from the command line.
I added the recommended lines to custom-convert.conf (and tried adding them to convert.conf as well) #Transcoding for AAC files. mov mp3 * * [faad] -w -f 2 $FILES$ | [lame] --resample 44100 --silent -q $QUALITY$ -b $BITRATES$ -r - - mov wav * * [faad] -w -f 2 $FILES$ I've also commented out the other mov entries (the ones that use [mov123] ) But when you try to play the .m4a files in slimserver/SB3, the following gets added to the slimserver.log. (Yes, there is nothing after "Error opening file:", that is all that is in the log) Has anyone else seen this or know what the problem could be? *********** Ahead Software MPEG-4 AAC Decoder V2.0 ****************** Build: Nov 9 2005 Copyright 2002-2004: Ahead Software AG http://www.audiocoding.com Floating point version This program is free software; you can redistribute it and/or modify it under the terms of the GNU General Public License. ************************************************************************** Error opening file: -- cfraenkel ------------------------------------------------------------------------ cfraenkel's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=1502 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=35451 _______________________________________________ unix mailing list [email protected] http://lists.slimdevices.com/lists/listinfo/unix
