Hi,
I use the same NIC with kubuntu (debian based). It uses the intel e1000
driver. See intel site.

I had problems with Wake on Lan not being active. If that happens then
install ethtool and use the following at a console.

sudo ethtool -s eth1 wol g

I can't remember whether Debian uses sudo, but that allows access to
configuration files as root. -s tells the system a change is coming,
eth1 is the add on card ethernet interface identity. (eth0 would be the
onboard ethernet interface) wol....... , g magic packet.
