Do the playlists use absolute or relative paths? If you open up the playlists in a text editor like Wordpad, what is the file path? Is it the same as the file path for your music folder as Slimserver / SqueezeCenter sees it?
Slimserver needs absolute not relative playlist paths, so if the playlist doesn't reference your files the same way that Slimserver does, they won't play.
