Thanks for the suggestion. But I am already using absolute paths.

Here's the first few lines from one of my playlists that slimserver
can't read (but Amarok can read):

#CURTRACK 27
#EXTM3U
#EXTINF:-1,It's The Nighttime
/mnt/disk2/audiofiles/josh_rouse/nashville/01_It_s_The_Nighttime.mp3
#EXTINF:-1,Winter In The Hamptons
/mnt/disk2/audiofiles/josh_rouse/nashville/02_Winter_In_The_Hamptons.mp3
#EXTINF:-1,Streetlights
/mnt/disk2/audiofiles/josh_rouse/nashville/03_Streetlights.mp3
#EXTINF:-1,Carolina

As you can see, these are the absolute paths.

Here are the first few lines from a working playlist:

#CURTRACK 0
#EXTM3U
#EXTINF:-1,Same Old Song And Dance
/mnt/disk2/audiofiles/aerosmith/greatest_hits/same_old_song_and_dance.ogg
#EXTINF:-1,Al Green - Here I Am (Come And Take Me)
/mnt/disk2/audiofiles/al_green/greatest_hits/al_green__here_i_am_come_and_take_me.ogg
#EXTINF:-1,Al Green - I Can't Get Next To You
/mnt/disk2/audiofiles/al_green/greatest_hits/al_green__i_cant_get_next_to_you.ogg
#EXTINF:-1,Al Green - Let's Stay Together
/mnt/disk2/audiofiles/al_green/greatest_hits/al_green__lets_stay_together.ogg

I don't know why one shows up empty and the other does not.
