It should, but I've not used it in a very long time so cannot comment. The reason I said to remove "deb http://debian.slimdevices.com stable main" was just so you don't have conflicting sources. You could just as easily put a # at the beginning of the "deb http://debian.slimdevices.com stable main" line. One thing I should have added is that it is probably not a bad idea to uninstall slimserver before doing the update: Code: -------------------- sudo apt-get remove slimserver -------------------- I also found that getting rid of the database and thus forcing it to be recreated took care of some instances when slimserver didn't want to start - this was particularly the case going between versions of slimserver, especially 6.x to 7x. I'd do this directly following the uninstall. Code: -------------------- sudo rm -R /var/cache/slimserver/MySQL -------------------- The Debian wiki summarises most things quite nicely: http://wiki.slimdevices.com/index.cgi?DebianPackage -- egd Thecus N5200PRO >> Transporter >> ATC SCA2 >> ATC SCM100SLAT ------------------------------------------------------------------------ egd's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=3425 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=39073 _______________________________________________ unix mailing list [email protected] http://lists.slimdevices.com/lists/listinfo/unix
