necessary kernel, my machines all boot Linux and are ready for use in a
fraction of the time it takes xp and/ or w2k3 to fire up on the same
box. The more experience I get with Linux the clearer it becomes just
how poorly coded microsoft's operating systems are. Apart from mp3tag
and Total Commander I have no use for any variant of windows. I still
find Total Commander the most convenient way of doing file management
and mp3tag indispensable for managing FLAC metadata. Unfortunately,
Linux doesn't yet have credible alternatives in this space.
