OK, I have been researching, saving my pennies, and I'm finally ready to
replace my dead mobo to make a dedicated server. I am finding the low
power, minimal frills C7 CPU boards to be very interesting. In my
search of these forums, I find only one person who says they are
running on a C7 board and he said it was plenty fast. Anyone else with
some input on the subject?

Here's the board I am looking at:

My library consists of about 700 CDs ripped to flac with cover art
sitting in the same folder. I will be serving to an SB3 and an SBR
(courtesy of the beta program!). Music is currently on a nearly full
250 GB PATA HDD, but will probably be replaced with a 500GB drive soon.
Replacement will probably be SATA. My current backup is on a 250GB USB
drive.

I will use some flavor of Linux on the server. Right now the old
systems OS is on an old 40GB PATA drive, but I may opt to run the new
server off an USB memory stick.
