Hello hellesangel I'm pretty sure this is a feature to stop you streaming BBC content round the world as MP3s. Not sure why. Some sort of license thing.
Good try though! This seems to work fine for streaming my local music which is all FLAC encoded but does not work when playing BBC Radio 4 through AlienBBC, which also lists the format as FLAC. It seems that no internet radio stations work at all, which is typical as that's all I want this PC to do. Any ideas why not and what I can do to correct this? My server is running SuSE Linux 10.0, SlimServer 6.5.4 and AlienBBC 1.06 and Lame 3.97. The streaming client is running on a very old Pentium 147MHz laptop with 32Mb memory and so the stream is restricted by SlimServer to 96Kb/sec. Many thanks in advance. -- hellesangel ------------------------------------------------------------------------ hellesangel's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=5658 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=43429 _______________________________________________ unix mailing list [email protected] http://lists.slimdevices.com/lists/listinfo/unix _______________________________________________ unix mailing list [email protected] http://lists.slimdevices.com/lists/listinfo/unix
