Top shows 2 x 5-7% for brutefir processes and 2 x 1% for the flac processes. It is one flac process to convert the stuff to raw format, 2 x brutefir one for each channel and one flac process to save some bandwidth for the network.
I have an Athlon 64 4200+ Dual Core processor. I can do everything while playing music, like surfing, transcoding CDs to flac and have no performance impact at all. You can check out the brutefir homepage, their you will find a performance measurement. Baseline: a 800MHZ processor is more than enough for normal stereo DRC in realtime. The performance problem and the licensing (Inguz is not free) was the reason I never tried the Inguz stuff. Right now the Inguz Plugin provides a lot more features, but an EQ is possible with brutefir as well (I already have one in my filter setup). To edit the EQ settings would be one or two days of work... -- Klaas ------------------------------------------------------------------------ Klaas's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=8026 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=31620 _______________________________________________ unix mailing list [email protected] http://lists.slimdevices.com/lists/listinfo/unix
