Squeezecenter now appears to be quite hosed. I'm unable to connect to
it via a browser, and according to the log file, it's restarting every
5 seconds or so:

Here is what's happening during a (I assume typical) restart

At this point I threw up my hands and rebooted the computer hosting
squeezecenter. After the reboot, squeezecenter was accessible and
behaved somewhat normally.

The server log file shows a couple of glitches, but the system is not
in meltdown as it had been prior to the reboot:

2008-04-01 21:46:34 squeezecenter_safe stopped.
2008-04-01 21:47:56 squeezecenter_safe started.

The library statistics reflected the the 12 albums that I had added
after the successful "Clear library and scan everything":

Your music library contains 4326 albums with 52748 songs by 5715
artists.

One strange behavior (something that I have seen consistently with
squeezecenter) is when one adds a new album to the playlist, the
tracks come up out of order. In this case, the two albums that I had
"added manually" by browsing to them add their tracks in the proper
order, but the other new albums do not. The others do add tracks in
the proper order after being visited through "Music Folder".

I did a "Look for new and changed music" scan without meltdown, but it
didn't fix the "order of new album tracks on the playlist" issue.

Thanks
