First - Be advised, I think there may be an issue about transcoding streams into mp3. It doesn't work for all formats. The transcoding functionality was intended for files. There is a bug report on this regarding transcoding AACplus streams.
An alternative to ffmpeg is mplayer - if mplayer is easily available for CC 4.2.
