The command line in custom-convert.conf tells mplayer to use a largish buffer the BBC streams. The time take to fill this buffer depends on the stream speeds and whether it is live or not. A large buffer means reduced stuttering in case of network problems.
This buffer takes about 2-3 secs to fill for "Listen Again" and longer for live streams (can be 10-15 secs)especially the slow streams such as World Service. I'm not sure what the pause after start playing but I think it is related to buffers in SC and buffers in mplayer. -- bpa ------------------------------------------------------------------------ bpa's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=1806 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=46535 _______________________________________________ unix mailing list [email protected] http://lists.slimdevices.com/lists/listinfo/unix
