If you're running a single-user Linux system, why do you need something
like apparmor anyway? If this were my system, I'd nuke apparmor and
everything of its ilk. I don't need my OS to protect me from myself.

I'm happily running SqueezeCenter 7.0.1 on my Gentoo Linux system: no
process quotas, and no other impediments to fast, streamlined
operation. If you're worried about out-of-control processes, run a
process monitor (I like qps) to see what's happening if/when your
system bogs down.
