Which version of Perl is installed? (perl -v) If its 5.10 its a "well known problem". Read a few topics below in this forum. A workaround is to install the latest 7.1 which supports perl 5.10. You can download it from http://www.slimdevices.com/downloads/nightly/latest/7.1/
