Hi everyone,

I've recently set up a new file server to store my music etc and have
gone with Debian Stable (Etch).

Previously, I was running Kubuntu 7.04 on a little media box, and had
no problems installing faad and lame packages, and configuring
SqueezeCenter to transcode my m4a files.

However, I have discovered that these packages are only available in
Debian Unstable, which I certainly do not want to move to.

Has anyone managed to get AAC decoding to work on Debian Stable, either
by using faad & lame as the wiki describes, or another way? (I've
