I'm a long time user of the Squeezebox and Slimserver, now Squeezecenter. But on Windows XP. I decided to try setting up a music server using Ubuntu 8.04 and have run into problems getting SqueezeCenter to install. I've read through the forums here at on the Ubuntu site and am still confused.
In the reload process (Synaptic Package Manager) I get an error message suggesting that the SqueezeCenter software may not be available. In the Reload failure message is an error 404, which usually means (to me at least) that the server connection failed. I've investigated the apparmor issue, but that doesn't make much difference either. Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated.
