Thank you, guys. I got it installed. I think the problem may have been that I had made an error in the copy & paste from the Slim Devices website to the Synaptic Package Manager.
I'm wondering now if there is something else I need to do. I have opened the browser and entered "localhost:9000" and also "127.0.0.1:9000" in order to open the SqueezeCenter. I get a failed to connect message. Is there something else I need to do. I hate to say this, but with Windows XP it is very easy. Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated.
