I'm building a server for squeezecentre from PC bits I have around, and
the final PC will be quite a powerful one, E6400 Core 2 Duo, 2GB ram
iTB storage.

So I think its plenty fast to run the stripped down (using Nlite)
version of XP I have. XP is familiar I guess, and I've not really "got
root" when it comes to Linux and the like.

That said, I'm quite PC savvy when it comes to most of this stuff, so
if theres a major reason to install Linux over XP on my music server
box then I'd go for it.

I dont thik there'd be any performance issues running XP on it, so
other than that is there a reason I should go linux?

(I have a Legit copy of XP Pro, so cost not a factor)

Thanks.
