If theres not a SERIOUS impediment to using squeezecentre in XP I think I'd use that. As I said earlier, my version of XP is stripped bare (need to check the networking services are switched on though lol) so it should run like s*it off a shovel. (he hopes) Another scenario... I've used Ubuntnu as a "crisis" operating system (boot from CD) just to get me online etc if my system crashes..(Yes...using windows!) and on the surface at least it seems pretty familiar. If I could run a Torrent client on Ubuntnu and could get drivers for my NIC card etc, I'd be happy using it. As long as it didn't get just too much "GOT ROOT" for me. I dont REALLY want to learn new stuff to be honest, just want to set it up and forget it and enjoy the choons. Anyone got a good link to setting up Squeezeserver in Ubuntnu? (I've not checked the Wiki yet to be honest...)
