For so long I been wanting to know why the data LED's on my switch to my
ubuntu 8.04 server start to flash very fast and stay going till I reboot
the server.

Last time I rebooted it I waited till the LED's on my switch started to
flash a lot again. Like there is a lot of data going or coming from my
ubuntu server.

I logged on and did a:

ps gauxwww

command. Started to kill things I thought my be it and watched the
switch packet LED on my switch that goes to the ubuntu server.

When I killed this one it stopped!

/usr/bin/perl -w /usr/sbin/squeezecenter-server --prefsdir
/var/lib/squeezecenter/prefs --logdir /var/log/squeezecenter/
--cachedir /var/lib/squeezecenter/cache

I checked my slimp3 box and it still connected getting the date and
time. Still plays music. When I start playing music I see the same
packet LED's go fast on the switch. I stop the music but the Packet
LED's don't stop flashing fast. I do a kill of that very long line
again and the LED's stop.

Now I know they start every time I play a song on my slimp3 player.

What type of data is it sending or getting and why don't it stop when I
stop the music?

It's squeeze center and I don't know what version.
