Just to let the op know he isn't crazy, I have noticed the exact same thing. It's not scientific, but there normally is a definite difference in "blink" speed when a player is playing and when it is idle. For me it is about 5 or so when it is playing and about once a second when idle.
A few more facts in my case: The op mentions slimp3 and I only see this happen on a slimp3 not on a squeezebox or receiver. They both return immediately to the one (or none) blinks a second when powered off, but the slimp3 continues at the 5 like it is still receiving a music stream. The display on the slimp3 looks like it is in the powered off mode. I think it started when I upgraded to 7.0. I just tested and it still happens with the latest 7.2 beta. It does not happen with internet streams, only playing local files. It behaves as expected after playing internet streams. If I play a local file mp3 or m4a, then switch to an internet stream before powering off, it doesn't happen. This is how I dealt with the problem before I retired my slimp3. Not really an issue for me anymore since I replaced my slimp3, but it used to bug me. -- slimc ------------------------------------------------------------------------ slimc's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=19312 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=50639 _______________________________________________ unix mailing list [email protected] http://lists.slimdevices.com/lists/listinfo/unix
