Hi,

I have several fairly small hard disks (7 totaling around 600 GB) so I
have decided to make two separate computers. Both computers are total
rebuilds from reformatted drives on up. I only have one paid version of
Windows XP, so you guessed it... One computer will have Linux (maybe a
few distros) and the other will have XP.

Is there a fairly painless way to have the squeezebox be able to read
flac, OGG and MP3s from BOTH of the computers and ALL of those disks
being that they will have two different OS's? Am I going to have to
have FAT32 partitions on all of the disks so that Windows can run
Slimserver when I am booted into windows ? In the broader picture, I am
hoping that Samba is not involved because I have never touched it and
know nothing of networking.

If there are wiki or other tutorials that I did not see, those would
help too, but I am looking for advice from people in the know.

P.S. it is late here, I will first look for answers in the morning, and
many times thereafter - if you ask questions tonight it will be a while
before I am back to answer, gotta sleep.

Thanks,

B.
