I have built a mini ITX server running ClarkConnect from the excellent instuctions here..http://www.ulverston.myzen.co.uk/mini-itx/index.htm
I have actually used the identical hardware. I cannot get WOL to wake the server. I am happy the hardware is enabled as the NIC light remains on and when I query ethtool, I get: [EMAIL PROTECTED] ~]# ethtool eth0 Settings for eth0: Supported ports: [ TP MII ] Supported link modes: 10baseT/Half 10baseT/Full 100baseT/Half 100baseT/Full Supports auto-negotiation: Yes Advertised link modes: 10baseT/Half 10baseT/Full 100baseT/Half 100baseT/Full Advertised auto-negotiation: Yes Speed: 100Mb/s Duplex: Full Port: MII PHYAD: 1 Transceiver: internal Auto-negotiation: on Supports Wake-on: pumbg Wake-on: g Current message level: 0x00000001 (1) Link detected: yes [EMAIL PROTECTED] ~]# which makes me think everything is OK on hard startup but I'm not convinced I've got the shutdown script right. My server uses a fixed IP rather than DCHP and i have edited the etc/rc.d/init.d/halt file at the end to: if [ -x /sbin/halt.local ]; then /sbin/halt.local fi /sbin/ifconfig eth0 192.168.2.25 up /usr/sbin/ethtool -s eth0 wol g HALTARGS="-d" [ -f /poweroff -o ! -f /halt ] && HALTARGS="$HALTARGS -p" exec $command $HALTARGS following the instructions on http://forums.fedoraforum.org/archive/index.php/t-122902.html Try is I might, Fusion WOL or the SB3 won't wake the server up. anyone have any ideas where to look?
