Yesterday I installed Squeezecenter 7.2 via apt-get on my Ubuntu Hardy box a headless Intel Pentium D 2.80 GHz server with 1 Gb internal memory and 64 bit serverkernel 2.6.24. Removed the offending /etc/apparmor.d/usr.mysql.squeezecenter.orig file, added the squeezecenter user to the group owning the "audio" subdirectory. I can browse the squeezecenter GUI via 192.168.1.1:9000, scan my musicfiles (mostly .ogg, some .mp3) and subsequently browse them. The SB receiver and remote (SB duet) are setup in hybrid mode (receiver via ethernet, remote via WiFi). I can browse my musiccollection via the remote. Netstat shows established connections between my laptop IP adress to the server 9000 port and a connection between the SBreceiver DHCP given adress on port 45180 and the squeezecenter server on 3483. However, when I select a song to play there is no sound! Strangely, running the squeezecenter software on my XP desktop computer does give sound (albeit not for longer than 5 min, maybe it goes into standby..).
Does anyone have ideas about how to solve this sound problem? Not much use in having a Squeezebox if it doesn't produce sound, does it? -- ewijburg ------------------------------------------------------------------------ ewijburg's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=20320 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=53400 _______________________________________________ unix mailing list [email protected] http://lists.slimdevices.com/lists/listinfo/unix
