Apparmor is not a dependency for squeezecenter. Apparmor is a
protection system installed by default on Ubuntu. Squeezecenter makes
questionable use of the Ubuntu provided mysql server package. The new
apparmor security protections added to 8.04 cause Squeezecenter
problems because of this questionable use. I provided an initial patch
to the developers who did a bad job adding it to the squeezecenter
installer. I have submitted a correction patch to them, but they have
yet to add it to the package releases.

I don't know why people keep having issues, my posted workaround is
predictable and tested. Simply remove the offending config file and
reload the two services.
