I've used the Fit-PC quite a bit, but not with SC.  I don't see any 
reason why it wouldn't be a valid configuration and work quite nicely 
for you.

Since I bought my box, Viglin have come out with their MPC-L mini PC 
which is a little bit bigger than the Fit but under half the price.  I 
know it's available in the UK for around £80UKP, so about $120USD.
