<rant mode on> Does this actually help? Have tried several versions of of squeezecenter by now.
7.2.2(testing) 7.3(stable) 7.3.1(unstable) each has the problem. first time start no problem restart not working even after reboot. I need to apt-get remove --purge + apt-get install to get it running again. This IMO make squeezecenter useless, and squuezbox less desirable. What is going on? Do not say that the problem is with my debian sid machine. If it were then the initial start should also crash. filing a bugreport requires another username an login procedure. That is not what I am looking for.
