Hi all, I have just upgraded to fedora 10 on my 64bit box but could not play any wavs. flacs & mp3 played ok it just wavs that were getting skipped!
Everything worked ok on fedora 9 with the same squeezecenter version 7.3.1. Turning on some of the logging I see it's trying to use it's own version of flac :- Slim::Player::TranscodingHelper::tokenizeConvertCommand2 (557) Using command for conversion: "/usr/share/squeezecenter/Bin/i386-linux/flac" -cs --totally-silent --compression-level-0 -- "/music/music/Joni Mitchell/hejira/09-refuge_of_the_roads.wav" but it doesn't seem to work :- [09-01-03 17:09:59.2158] Slim::Player::Source::_readNextChunk (476) Read to end of file or pipe [09-01-03 17:09:59.2165] Slim::Player::Source::_readNextChunk (499) end of file or error on socket, song pos: 147086954 [09-01-03 17:09:59.2171] Slim::Player::Source::_readNextChunk (508) Didn't stream any bytes for this song, so just mark it as played So I renamed the squeezecenter version of flac & now it uses the system installed version (1.2.1) instead & everything works correctly :) Is there a better fix for this? I do wonder if there's anything else that doesn't work that I just haven't noticed yet! regards Richard -- richardsk ------------------------------------------------------------------------ richardsk's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=1350 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=57612 _______________________________________________ unix mailing list [email protected] http://lists.slimdevices.com/lists/listinfo/unix
